Powerful Coupling: Taper Lock & QD Bushes
The “Quick Detachable” QD bushings from AGM are easy to install and remove They are split through flange and tapered to provide a true clamp on the shaft that is equivalent to shrink fit. The taper-bored “QD” item easily fits over the tapered bush and tightening of the cap screws produces a tight fit on the shaft. The bush is easily removed from the hub by using the pull-up bolts as jack screws. Sizes available include QH, JA, SH, SDS, SD, SK, SF, E, F All bushes are available in pilot) bore, and can be re-bored to suit the shaft requirements. All bushes “JA” through “F” are drilled for Reverse Mounting. AGM makes QD bushing available in inches & metric sizes and are 100% interchangeable with licensed manufacturer’s OE products.
With Taper Lock Bush, it is possible to achieve ‘shrink fit’ of pulleys, couplings etc. on to shaft using simple hexagonal wrenches. The arrangement of half threaded holes and longitudinally split taper bush ensured maximum grip and fast easy fitting. Its use helps in eliminating fitting keys and offers the benefit of interchangeability between many products. AGM offers over 200 combinations of bush size/bore for the benefit of users. A Taper-Lock bushing is defined by 4 digits representing two numbers. The first number represents the maximum bore size and the second number represents the bushing length. For example, Bush no. 1008 has a maximum bore of 1.0″inch and total length of 0.8 inch.
