Description

CLASSICAL SECTION V-BELTS

DESIGNATED: Z, A, B, C, D, E, K, M

SWR Europe Classical Section Wrapped V-Belts are made from quality raw material sourced from reliable sources. We offer the widest range of sizes in all classical sections viz. Z, A, B, C, D, E, K, and M to meet your requirement. SWR Europe product range is manufactured on the state of art production lines with renowned European Siempelkamp and Berstorff equipment; it has exceptionally low length tolerance, eliminating the need for matched sets. SWR Europe Classical Section Wrapped V-Belts are conditional heat & oil resistant and also, they are electrically conductive (anti-static) according to ISO 1813. SWR V-belts are suitable without restriction for use in tropical regions with restrictions up to 120° C. More detailed specifications available on request.

WEDGE SECTION BELTS

DESIGNATED: SPZ, SPA, SPB, SPC, 3V, 5V, 8V

The main difference between V belts and wedge belts is the profile shape. As their names suggest, V belts feature a V-shaped profile with tapered sides, whilst wedge belts have a wedge-shaped profile.

SWR Europe make wedge belts cater to the demand for high power transmission with reduced space requirements. It has improved cord construction and optimum cord placement as compared to the classical V-belt which gives wedge belts the capacity to transmit more power. They can operate up to 1.5 times the load of classical v-belts with the same top width. Because of the higher power rating, fewer wedge belts are needed to transmit the load thus resulting in space saving compact drives.

RAW-EDGE COGGED BELTS

DESIGNATED: ZX, AX, BX, CX

SWR Europe make cogged belt is a high-performance belt used in applications where slippage or failure due small pulley applications must be avoided. Made of rubber with cogs/ slots/ nubs running all along the inside of it perpendicular to belt length. The slots reduce the belt’s bending resistance. Cogged belts can be used with the same pulleys as equivalently rated V- belts. They run cooler, last longer, and have an efficiency that is about 2%-3% higher than that of standard classical V-belts.

SWR Europe also offers long length range of Raw Edge Cogged V-Belts of matchless quality which can be used for pulleys with a small diameter as their flexible cogged design allows the belt to fit better around

tighter radius with better arc of contact. Other advantages of the cogged type is the higher power rating and cooler running on the drive.

NARROW WEDGE COGGED BELTS

DESIGNATED: XPZ, XPA, XPB, XPC, 3VX, 5VX, 8VX

SWR Europe range of narrow wedge belts are also offered in cogged raw edge versions which are well appreciated for low vibrations, low noise and exceptionally energy efficient drives resulting in 3%-6% saving which helps in substantial savings as energy bill is 2nd highest cost component after raw material. These belts are heat resistant and electrically conductive (anti-static), according to ISO 1813. The higher power rating of SWR Europe cogged belts ensure longer life, lower down time and higher productivity

BANDED BELTS

DESIGNATION: R-A/ AX, R-B/ BX, R-C/ CX, R-3V/ 3VX, R-5V/ 5VX. R-8V/ 8VX, R-SPZ/ XPZ, R-SPA/ XPA, R-SPB/ XPB, R-SPC/ XPC

Banded V-belts consist of two or more single V-belts held together with a reinforced backing that distributes the stress evenly across the belts and prevents the belt from turning over in the pulley. The top cover on these banded V-belts helps maintain dimensional stability while offering protection from oil and heat. Also called multi-groove belts, these belts feature durable, transverse, tensile cords that help to create a permanent connection between individual belts. These banded belts can be used in wide belt drives that are designed for multiple single belts and are better suited than single V-belts for applications with accumulated loads. SWR Europe range of Banded V-belts are typically used in applications where speed fluctuations, misalignment, shock loads and vibration might cause single belts to whip, turn over, or fall off the pulley. Banded belts are superior in power, strength & durability; offering excellent solutions to the drives with longer center distance or drives with pulsating loads.

Advantages of using cogged belts

  •   Premium performance.
  •   Speed ratios up to 1:14 are possible: this eliminates the need for multi stage drives.
  •   Suitable for wide temperature range: -18ºC to +100ºC
  •   Drive design with maximum recommended belt speed over 30 m/s* is possible
  •   Drives with very small pulley diameters possible to take care of space constraint
  •   Reliability and efficiency with excellent performance/cost ratio.
  •   Long belt life reduces replacement and Maintenance costs.
  • Belt characteristics ensure high performance in heavy-duty, continuous running applications
